Places to stay

If you plan to come over and look at the horse or horses of your choice, we have a few accommodations that we can recommend. We prefer if you do the reservation yourself, because most accommodations want to have the details of the people that come to stay. This way as well, there can’t be any mistakes or disappointments about the hotel or apartment you want to book. Remember that these accommodations are inland and not to close to shops or beach, so if you don’t hire a car you can be stranded in your apartment for the time we don’t take you out.
For those people that like to make their stay a bit longer to enjoy the beach, it’s always good to look on the net for accommodation in Marbella, since that’s quite close to where we are.

The easiest way to get here from Malaga airport is by renting your own vehicle at the airport and then drive here.

We have accommodation in the following villages:

MONDA

In the village where we live we can offer “EL Castillo de Monda”. www.castillodemonda.es
This ancient Arabic fortress is a romantic hotel at the top of Monda, with beautiful views over the little village and it’s countryside. It oozes history and if only it’s walls could speak…. It’s an exclusive hotel for someone who really want to give themselves a treat.

Thanks to our wonderful friend and neighbour Sue Brown, Andalusitano can offer two self catering flats in Monda with special prices for our guests.

Do hurry to book if you are coming during the high season as these two gems are favourites among tourists.

Flat no 1. Is situated on the top floor of an old village town house. It has been newly decorated and renovated to a modern standard and has two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a small terrace. Sleeps 4-5 people. It also has a wifi internet connection included in the price. The flat is situated by a lovely little Plaza in the centre of Monda

Flat no.2 is called “The Gatehouse” and is situated in the garden of Sue and Joes villa outside Monda. It is a lovely and fresh budget choice for a couple or two friends who want to do more than sleep during their stay in Monda. It’s compact living with a touch of shabby chic! It has a little bathroom, a little kitchen area, a double bed and somewhere to put your clothes. Wifi internet connection available as well as a lovely pool and view.

(If you are interested in Andalucian culture you might want to take a look at Sues’ website www.flamencorevival.com She specialises in finding vintage flamenco dresses and selling them on to entusiasts and collecters.)

COIN

In Coin the village next to Monda we have a few hotels.. But we strongly recommend these two.

Santa Fé www.santafe-hotel.com

A lovely small boutique hotel in a quiet location in the outskirts of Coin. It is owned by a dutch couple and the restaurant is a bit of a hidden treasure. The food is so good people come from far away to eat here. It has beautiful gardens surrounded by fruit trees and the rooms are fresh and very reasonable priced.

ALHAURIN EL GRANDE

Casa Pipa www.casapipa.nl
A lovely little guest house with room for 4 people to stay. It’s self contained and has it’s own pool and complete privacy. On the website the text is for now only in Dutch but the owners speak English and Spanish. There is a possibility to go riding on one of the mares of the owners and it’s close to a golf course. It’s reasonable priced as well, specially if you are more than one person.
